The Clinical Bacteriology Laboratory provides comprehensive microbiological, automatic and manual diagnostic services for accurate and reliable testing of all types of clinical specimens.
Incubation of the blood and other sterile body fl uids and growth detection of microorganisms is performed by highly sensitive automatic Bact/Alert system (BioMereieux, USA- France). Rapid and accurate simultaneous identifi cation and antimicrobial susceptibility testing of isolated bacteria is carried out by innovative VITEK 2 microbial identifi cation system, which is the worldwide leader in microbiology diagnostic systems.
Laboratory is equipped by broad range of bacteriology laboratory equipment including modern type light, phase contrast and fl uorescent microscopes, incubators and other supplementary equipment.
Isolation of fungal culture, subsequent morphological and biochemical identifi cation of isolated colonies is implemented.
